Chair: Dr Nick Brown

Dr Nick Brown is the Principal of Linacre College, University of Oxford and University Lecturer in Plant Sciences. In addition he works with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Post Conflict assessment Unit which has taken him to Rwanda and Iraq. He is also Science and Engineering Ambassador, a science, engineering, technology and mathematics network, an initiative to help schools inspire young people.

Treasurer: Kim Erik Lloyd

Kim is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, where he subsequently took a Master’s in Computer Science. He spent his career with EDF Trading in London where he was their Head of European Power.

Trustee: Keith Lloyd

Keith resides in Guernsey and has a BSc in Applied Chemistry from Liverpool Regional College of Technology, a Doctorate in Peptide Chemistry from Linacre College, University of Oxford, a Master’s in Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and more recently a BSc in Earth Sciences from the Open University. He enjoyed a career in international business management in the USA, and Belgium and is currently a Director of Hitachi Chemical Europe in addition to his family business interests in Venture Capital.

Trustee: Dr Franziska Meinck

Dr Franziska Meinck is a Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Edinburgh and an Honorary Professor at
North-West University South Africa.  Her research focusses on the epidemiology of child abuse in southern Africa and on the development and evaluation of low-cost child abuse prevention interventions together with UNICEF and WHO. Before coming to Oxford, Franziska worked as a child protection social worker in Wales.

Trustee: Emmanuel Mawuli Abalo

Emmanuel is a White Rose Doctoral Scholar in Social Research (MSc candidate) and Human Geography (PhD candidate) at the University of Hull, and is researching into the governance and politics of plastic ‘waste’ management in Ghana. He holds an MSc in Environmental Change and Management, University of Oxford – Commonwealth/Norman-Ivy Lloyd Scholar.

Trustee: David Travers

David holds a BA in European Studies from Queen Mary, University of London, a Master’s in European Development and Integration from the Vrije Universiteit Brussels and an Executive Master’s in Management from the Solvay Business School. He resides in Belgium where he works in IT.

Trustee: Joanna Travers

Joanna read French and Philosophy at Swansea University. Joanna was born and raised in Belgium and now resides in the UK where she is a Marketing Analyst for GTECH, a leading gaming technology and services company.

Trustee: Natasha Said Ali

Natasha Said Ali is a Medical Doctor from Tanzania, undertaking a PhD in Clinical Medicine at Oxford (Linacre College).  She is passionate about making undergraduate education of all kinds in Africa accessible to all who consider it a crucial part of their growth and economic empowerment
